Our class had to get to school by 7 AM to get everything ready. First we carried our desks/chairs down the stairs and out onto the field to make the hina-dan (stairway-type thing each class sits on to cheer their classmates. Like bleachers, I guess.) Then the guys had to set up the backboard, and the girls helped afterwards to put up the blue tarp. Since it was a school day we were all wearing our uniforms, and there were about 30 bicycles parked outside (!!) For $20 per person we were given a feast. Sausages, fries, spaghetti, sushi, chicken... we even got some "whole strawberry ice cream" on the house. Each frozen strawberry was filled with milk-flavored sherbet and covered in sugar on the outside. Yum! Of course, the seniors said their...
